BRENDA "KAY" SMITH

76, of Mattoon, Illinois, passed away at 6:22 A.M., Tuesday August 14, 2019, in her residence. She was born April 26, 1943, in Mattoon, Illinois, the daughter of Kenneth and Rose (McGinness) Roetker and was raised by Delbert and Rose Hamilton. She was a retired cook at Casey’s General Store in Neoga, Illinois and was a life member of the Mattoon V.F.W. Auxiliary of Mattoon, Illinois.
Kay leaves two Daughters, Cheryl Shutt (Kelly) of rural Neoga, Illinois and Michele Pygott of Mattoon, Illinois; Brothers, Bill Hamilton and Delbert Hamilton both of Mattoon, Illinois; Sister, Linda Keepes of Mattoon, Illinois: seven Grandchildren and three Great Grandchildren. Kay was preceded in death by her Father, Kenneth Roetker, Parents Delbert and Rose Hamilton; Sons, Edward Lee Smith and Chadlee Cole Smith.   
Memorials are suggested to the Family C/O Cheryl Shutt  350 Co. Rd. 700 N Neoga, Illinois 62447.
Cremation Rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held from 2:30 PM until 4:30 PM Sunday August 25th, 2019 at the Mattoon V.F.W. of Mattoon, Illinois.
