DELORIS J. (RENTFRO) KOESTER

75, of rural Sigel, Illinois, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019 in her home.  She was born October 10, 1944 in Stewardson, the daughter of Truman and Edith (Tarrant) Rentfro. She married Clifford Koester on Oct 27, 1962 near Makanda, Illinois, Mr. Koester passed away June 5, 2010. 
Deloris was a retired School Bus Driver for the Stewardson-Strasburg School District 5A for 22 1/2 years. She was an avid genealogist. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Effingham and a Rentfrow Cemetery Board Member. 
Deloris is survived by two daughters, Sheila Zellner - husband Justin and Cindy Dial, both of Neoga; 3 sons, Clifford Koester - wife Laura, of Effingham, Fred Koester - wife Inga, of Decatur, and Eric Koester -  wife Amy, of Champaign; brothers, Larry Rentfro of Altamont and James Rentfro -  wife Bonnie of Texas; sisters, Barbara Carroll of West valley City, Utah and Linda Mast - husband Dave of Avon, Indiana; sister in laws, Bonnie Rentfro (Leonard's wife) and Janet Rentfro (Don's Wife); and brother in law, Melvin "JR" Parsons (Loretta's husband); 22 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford; brothers, Leonard and Don Rentfro; sister, Loretta Parsons and a grandchild, Myron Dial.

Funeral services honoring her life starts at 10:00 AM, Friday October 18, 2019, at The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in Effingham, Illinois.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, October 17, 2019, at the church also.
Burial will follow in the Rentfrow Cemetery in rural Shumway off IL route 32.
