EVELYN J. (SNODGRASS) FARERO

85, of Effingham, Illinois, passed away at 3:24 PM, November 9th, 2019 at the HSHS St. Anthony Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.  Evelyn was born July 22,1934, in Cumberland County, Illinois, the daughter of John William and Anna (Werth) Snodgrass. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Sigel, Illinois, a life member of the V. F. W. Post # 1769, auxiliary, and a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge, both of Effingham, Illinois. She married Fred " Sarge " Meyer in 1953 and he preceded her in death. She later married Bernard E. Farero, February 8,1975, in Effingham, Illinois. Mrs. Farero was a retired bookkeeper and head cashier for Super " X " Drugs, a Mary Kay Consultant for 10 years, She was also a Bookkeeper for Berlyn Enterprizes , a family owned company and she worked for Roadmasters Corporation and Community Care for 5 years each. She leaves her; two daughters, Carol Ann Hilton of Effingham, Illinois, and Susan Kay Larson of Effingham, Illinois; five step-sons, Bernard Farero and wife Judy of Seminole, Florida, Marlon Farero of Dwight, Illinois, Kent Miller and wife Mona of Vandalia, Illinois, Gaylen Miller and wife Carol of Moweaqua, Illinois and Mark Miller and wife Robin of Assumption, Illinois; one step-daughter, Rebecca Dillander, of Vine Grove, Kentucky; two grandchildren, five  great grandchildren, twelve step-grandchildren and fourteen step-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Farero was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bernard Farero; three sisters, Mildred Phillips, Alice Phillips and Helen Fruchtl; one grandson, Joel Larson.

Memorials may be made to the HSHS St Anthony Hospice of Effingham, IL OR St Paul Lutheran church of Sigel, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday November 13, 2019 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sigel, Illinois, with Rev. Earl G. Brown, officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 13 until service time at the Church. Burial will be in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery of Sigel, Illinois.
