ALICE M. (WILL) WENTE

90, of Casey, Illinois, formerly of Stewardson, Illinois passed away at 9:25 AM Saturday, January  16, 2021 in the Casey Health Care Center of Casey, Illinois.   She was born April 5, 1930 in Shelby County,  Illinois the daughter of August and May (Will) Ludwig. Alice married Robert L. Wente August 17, 1957 in Sigel, Illinois Robert passed away March 9, 2006.  Mrs. Wente was a Bookkeeper for Wente Locker Service in Stewardson, Illinois and also worked at Kern’s Manufacturing in Neoga.  She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Shumway, Illinois.  Alice leaves her son, Tom Wente of Stewardson, Illinois; daughters, Crystal Koester (Marty) and Jessica Caudill (Gary) both of Stewardson, Illinois; five grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; brother, Bob Ludwig; several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Robert Wente; brother, Bud Ludwig and sister, Pat Kunkel.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday January 21, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Swengel - O’Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, Illinois.  Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time in the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Stewardson Cemetery of Stewardson, Illinois.
