ARLETHA SUZANNE (THOELE) BALLINGER

Arletha  Suzanne  Ballinger, 90 of Toledo, Illinois, passed away at 10:06  AM Wednesday, September 21, 2022 in the Lakeland Rehab & Health Care Center in Effingham, Illinois.  She was born February 19, 1932 in Effingham, Illinois the daughter of Aloysius and Bernadine (Reiman) Thoele.  She married John H. Ballinger III, May 27, 1967 in Metropolis, Illinois, Mr. Ballinger passed away March 27, 2007.  She was a Member of the St. Mary Of The Assumption Church in Neoga, Ilinois. She enjoyed arts and crafts and painting also liked gardening.  Mrs. Ballinger is survived by her children, Daniel T. Varley of Los Alamos, New Mexico,  Dianna Przybylski (Ron) of Petersburg, Michigan, John H. Ballinger IV of Effingham, Illinois and Matthew J. Ballinger of Toledo, Illinois; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Arletha was preceded in death by her parents; husband John Ballinger; son, Steven Varley; grandsons, John Ballinger V and Jeremy Ballinger.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, September 27, 2022 in the Swengel - O’Dell Funeral Home in Neoga, Illinois.  Visitation will be one hour before services also in the funeral home. Burial will be in the St. Michael Cemetery in Sigel, Illinois.
