BERNIECE L. (LILLY) WRIGHT

(97) formerly of Sigel, IL, passed away at the Aperion Care Nursing Home in St. Elmo, IL, on Friday, October 9, 2020 after a lingering illness.  She was born at home in Loudon Township on April 2, 1923 the daughter of Lemuel and Wreatha Lilly.  She was married to Loren Wright who preceded her in death in 1976.  She is survived by her step-daughter Linda Wright, sisters Mary Lewis and Betty Kruzan, sister-in-law Alice Lilly and numerous nieces and nephews.  Her parents, sister Lois (Earl) Himes and brothers Duane (Wilma) Lilly and Junior Lilly and brother-in-law Albert Kruzan preceded her in death.  
Berniece enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Europe.  She never wanted to “miss out on a go.”  She loved spending time with her family. “Her people” were very important to her.  She delighted in being out in nature, hiking, tree climbing (even at age 80), mushroom hunting, berry picking and picking wild flowers.
Graveside services will be at the cemetery in Sigel,  Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Swengel- O’Dell Funeral Home in Neoga is in charge of arrangements.
