BEULAH WHITE Obituary

89, of Neoga, Illinois, passed away into the arms of her Savior at 1:13 P.M., Sunday, July 22,2012 in her home in Neoga, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 4, 1922, in Shelby County, Illinois, the daughter of William Elmer and Pearl Edith Bales Lear. She married her life long love James D. White on November 23,1939, and he passed away in March of 1970. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Neoga, Eastern Star, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the DAV, and the Eagles Club. Beulah was employed by the General Electric Company in Mattoon for over thirty-two years, before that she worked at the Brown Shoe Factory and at the Neoga Garment Factory. Beulah leaves her three daughters, Connie Hanfland of Mattoon, IL, Linda White and Fiance' Lowell Smith of Neoga, IL and Donna Huffman and husband Tom of rural Neoga, IL; She also leaves eight grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren; one niece, Betty Lou (Lear) Frydenger and husband Don of rural Windsor, IL. Mrs. White was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James White; special friend, Don Richardson; three brothers, Roy, Luther and Kenneth Lear. Beulah enjoyed reading, traveling, music, dancing, visiting with friends and family. She also had a great love for her dog "Cricket ", she loved horses and even cats although she had an allergy to them. In her younger years she also enjoyed playing her guitar and singing. She was an amazing woman who always worked hard, never complained and was there when you needed her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at the Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, Illinois, with Rev. Richard Coen of Neoga, officiating. Visitation will be held from 5;00 P. M., to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at the Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home in Neoga. Burial will be in the Drummond Cemetery, near Neoga, Illinois. online condolences may be expressed at swengel-odell.com
