Betty W. Drennan

Betty Drennan, 82, of Neoga, Illinois, passed away at 6:45 P.M., Thursday, October 27, 2011, in the Heartland Christian Village of Neoga. Betty was born July 7, 1929, in Ash Grove Township, Shelby County, Illinois, the daughter of William D. and Faith W. ( Burrell ) White. She married Clyde E. Drennan, July 4, 1948, in Neoga, Illinois and Mr. Drennan passed away October 24, 1996. Betty was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and a former member of the Neoga B.P.W. both of Neoga, a member of the H.E.A. of Cumberland County, Illinois, a Teacher's Aid at the Neoga Elementary School, a former seamstress, at the Kern Manufacturing, and a volunteer at the Heartland Christian Village Auxiliary. Betty also enjoyed all Neoga events, local sports, musical events, and traveling. Mrs. Drennan leaves one son, Allen Drennan of Bloomington, IL; two daughters, Laura Drennan of Rochester, IL, and Janet Gamberdine and husband Gary of Woodridge, IL; and one brother, Duane White and wife Melinda of Neoga, IL; one sister, Evelyn Alexander and husband William of Neoga, IL; three grandchildren, Christopher Drennan and wife Katie of Plainfield, IL, Kyle Drennan of London, England and Elizabeth Drennan of Bloomington, IL; one great grandson, Carter Drennan of Plainfield, IL. Mrs. Drennan was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde; one brother, Robert F. "Bud" White and one daughter-in-law, Sandra Drennan. Memorials may be made to the Grace United Methodist Church, Heartland Christian Village Auxiliary, both of Neoga, IL or the American Cancer Society . Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M., Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at the Grace United Methodist of Neoga, with the Rev. Debbie Reese of Effingham, IL officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, October 31, 2011, in the Grace United Methodist Church of Neoga, and one hour before the services on Tuesday at the Church.
