CAROLINE FAY (MALONE) HUTSON

Caroline  Fay Hutson 88, of Mattoon, Illinois, passed away at 10:08 PM Thursday, May 4, 2023 in her residence surrounded by family.  She was born December 5, 1934 in Mattoon, Illinois the daughter of Harold and Eva (Shain) Malone.  Caroline married Ron Hutson May 30, 1954.  Caroline was a Office Manager for the Mattoon Township for over 20 years.   She loved golfing, being with family and her beloved fur babies, Schatzi, Buffy, Duke, Ruby and Jewels.  Caroline was a member of the Crossover Church in Mattoon, Illinois.  She is survived by her son, Dean Hutson (Gayle) of Kankakee, Illinois; daughters, Debra Hutson of Mattoon, Illinois, Rebecca Shuemaker (John) of Windsor, Illinois and Rhonda Wiley (Daniel) of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jayne Moomaw; brother, Virgil Malone; Twin sister, Evelyn Metzelars; sisters, Pat Miller, Geri Goar and Nancy Haines.  
Memorials are suggested to the Leukemia Foundation.
As per her request there will be private family services held and burial will be in the Oakridge Cemetery in Effingham, Illinois.
