CHARLOTTE MARY (PAYNE) BUTLER

Charlotte Mary Butler, 81 of Mattoon, Illinois, passed away at 6:30 AM Sunday, December 12, 2021 in The Odd Fellow Rebekah Home in Mattoon, Illinois.  She was born May 14, 1940 in Coles County, Illinois the daughter of Robert and S. Elizabeth (Howard) Payne.  Charlotte married Gail White August 16, 1956 and later married Ron Butler May 31, 1974, Mr. Butler passed away May 22, 2003.  She was a seamstress at Kern Manufacturing in Neoga, Illinois, a former member of the First Christian Church of Neoga, Illinois and a member of East Harrison Street Church Of God in Charleston, Illinois.  Mrs. Butler leaves behind her children, Gail Dean White Jr. (Teresa) of Cowden, Illinois, David A. White (Karen) of Neoga, Illinois, Jodi A. Waggner (Terry) of Hutton, Illinois and Keith Butler (Ashley) of Reno, Nevada; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren: sisters, Phyllis Davis (Bill) of Westmoreland, Tennessee and Lila Mize of Crossville, Tennessee: several nieces and nephews.  Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Butler: brother in law, Gary Mize.
Memorials are suggested to Lincolnland Hospice, 1004 Health Center Drive Prairie Pavilion 2 suite 202  Mattoon, IL 61938.
As per Mrs. Butler’s wishes cremation rites will be accorded and memorial services will be held May 14, 2022.
