Charles F. Curry

84 of Neoga, Illinois, passed away at 2:55 P.M., Sunday, September 18, 2011, in the Heartland Christian Village of Neoga, Illinois. Charles was born November 18, 1926, in Cumberland County, Illinois, the son John and Gertrude ( Burton ) Curry. He was a retired Assembly worker for the Fedder's Corporation of Effingham, Ill., and he attended the Mount Zion Baptist Church east of Neoga. Charles married Loretta M. Hays August 6, 1971,in Cumberland County, IL. Mrs. Curry passed away January 15, 2001. Mr. Curry leaves one son, Randy Curry and wife Toni of Neoga, IL; one daughter, Charlotte Lukens and husband Jeremy of Effingham, Illinois; four grandchildren, Dakota Curry, Cheyenne Curry, Theresa Lukens and Sierra Curry. Mr. Curry was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Loretta Curry; two brothers, Major and Omer Curry; one sister, Margaret Laymon. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer society. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, September 22, 2011, in the Swengel - O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, with Don Laymon of Lexington, IN. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 21, 2011, at the Funeral Home. Burial Will be in the Brush Creek Cemetery south of Neoga, Illinois.
