DONALD D "DONNIE" MARTIN

79, of Neoga, Illinois, passed away peacefully on  Monday, September 2, 2019, in Heartland Christian Village of Neoga, Illinois, surrounded by his loving family. Don was born in Shelby County, Illinois to Gaylord M. and Carrie W. (Bodine) Martin on April 12, 1940.  He married Linda Riddle, she survives. Don is also survived by three daughters, Carrie Sue Orndorff of Mattoon, Illinois,  Brenda Evans and special friend, Rory Jones, and Julie Altman (Walt) both of Neoga, Illinois; grandchildren, Katie Hakman, Preston Robinson, Austin Robinson, Dalton Robinson, Chelsie Evans and Brock Evans; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Pauline Verdeyen of Effingham, Illinois and Grace Winnings of Sarasota, Florida. Don was a member of the First Christian Church of Neoga, Illinois and a founding member of the Hawg Dawg Bass Club of Neoga, Illinois. He retired from General Electric after 37 years of service.  As per Donnie's wishes a private family graveside service will be at a later date.
He was preceded in death by, his parents; brothers, Bobby Dean, Earl B. and Glen E. Martin; sisters, Gwendolyn Mayhall, Jean Bernadini, June Grunloh and Shirley Stateler.
Memorials are suggested to the Heartland Christian Village Auxiliary of Neoga, Illinois.
