DONNA K. (MANN) DINGESS

Donna K. Dingess, 75, of Peru, Indiana, passed away at 3:45 PM Thursday, January 13, 2022 in Blair Ridge of Peru, Indiana.  She was born July 18, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Cyril and Clara Kathryn (Elliott) Banning.   She married John H. Dingess, Jr. on November 4, 1967 in Coles County, Illinois. CMSgt (Ret) Dingess passed away December 13, 2014.  Donna was a Retired owner/operator of H&R Block in Peru, Indiana, and a retired IRS Agent.  Mrs. Dingess leaves her daughters, Dawn Marie (Kevin) Skovran of Richmond, Kentucky and Jonna Kaye (William) Courts of Peru, Indiana; grandchildren, Elizabeth Anne (Jeremy) Nolte, Kaitlyn  Skovran (Nicholas) Brooks, Grace Elaine Skovran, Jack Harrison Skovran and Ian Anthony Smith; great grandchildren, Amelia Rose Smith, Shyann Rachelle Preston, and John Thomas Drury; brothers, James (Becky) Banning of Mattoon, Illinois and Robert (Karen)  Banning of Champaign, Illinois; sister, Susie Becker of Neoga, Illinois; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John H. Dingess; two infant children Terry Joe and Jessie Glenn Bartley; and brother in law, Leroy (Susie) Becker.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
 A Celebration of Donna’s Life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday January 22, 2022 in the Swengel - O’Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, Illinois.  Visitation will be held Friday, January 21, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM also at the funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Elliott Cemetery in rural Toledo, Illinois.
