DUANE E. BAKER

56, of rural Neoga, Illinois, passed away Friday morning, June 21, 2013, in his residence. He was born June 10, 1957, in Mattoon, Illinois, the son of Charles E. and Mary Edith (Latch) Baker. He was self employed and he attended the Christ Fellowship Church of Neoga, IL. Duane graduated from the Arcola High School in Arcola, Illinois and he married Sherry Massie, September 2, 1978, in Tuscola, Illinois. He loved the outdoors, he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son and grandson. He also enjoyed looking for antiques and Indian artifacts. Duane leaves four daughters, Nikki Guthridge and husband Daniel of Lovington, IL, Gwen McTeer and husband Rick of Neoga, IL, Myah Baker of Mattoon, IL and Taylor Baker of Neoga, IL; one son, Logan Baker of Neoga, IL; two brothers, Ronald Baker and wife Cynthia of Neoga, IL and Earl Baker of Arcola, IL; four grandchildren, Britton, Kale and EmmaRee McTeer all of Neoga, IL and Teil Guthridge of Lovington, IL; one sister-in-law, Emy Baker of Westfield, IL. Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Don Baker. Memorials may be made to the family C/O Nikki Guthridge 608 McMullen Ct., Lovington, IL 61937. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, June 26, 2013, in the Swengel - O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, with the Rev. H. B. Senter of Neoga, and the Rev. Glenn Baker of Forsyth, IL officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 25, 2013, in the Funeral Home.
