Diana Kay Storm, 80 of Effingham, Illinois, passed away Wednesday March 25, 2026 at home in Effingham, Illinois. She was born October 10, 1945 in Trowbridge, Illinois to Thomas and Viola (Blake) McLaughlin.
She devoted much of her life to care of others serving as a nurse. She specialized in Alzheimer care. She loved to gamble and visit the casino boats. Diana loved cooking shows and spending time in the kitchen. She was a friend to all regardless of age. She loved home decorating. Her greatest love in life was her family. She relished spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Diana is survived by her sons; Alfred, Christopher (Caryn), and Clifford, daughter; Andrea, 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, sisters; Beverly (Dwight), Vicky (Dwight), and Michelle (Greg), and many nieces and nephews, and great- nieces and great-nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, sisters; Marlene (Dean), Joyce (Francis), and brother Harland.
Visitation will be Thursday April 2, 2026 from 10 AM until an 11AM Life Celebration Service at The Swengel- O’Dell Funeral Home of Neoga. Burial will follow in the St Patrick Cemetery, Trowbridge, Illinois.
