EILEEN P. SCHUTTE

87 of Sigel, Illinois, passed away at 6:35 A.M., Friday, August 10, 2012, in the Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center of Effingham, Illinois. Eileen was born March 17, 1925, in Sigel, Illinois, the daughter of Harry P. and Eva L. ( Bigler ) Schutte. Miss. Schutte was a member of the St. Michael, The Archangel Church of Sigel, Illinois. She graduated from Eastern Illinois University and started teaching in Byron, Illinois and continued teaching at the Junior College in the Chicago, Illinois area, were she also earned her Doctorate Degree. Eileen was also a member of Retired Teachers Association, and the Illinois Mycological Association of Chicago, Illinois. Miss. Schutte loved the outdoors. Miss. Schutte leaves one brother, John Schutte and wife Dana of rural Sigel, IL; two sisters, Doloris Steinwandt Wagner of Chicago, IL and Mary Ann Barkey of Clairmont, CA; Nieces and Nephews. Miss. Schutte was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Madonna Goodart; one niece, Dee Dee Schutte and one nephew, Brett Schutte. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Association. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 15, 2012, in the St. Michael, The Archangel Church of Sigel, IL with the Rev. Fr. Robert DeGrand of Sigel and Sr. Pat Thies of Effingham, IL, officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 14, 2012, with a Rosary at 6:30 P.M., Tuesday, at the Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, IL Burial will be in the St. Michael Cemetery of Sigel, IL on line condolences may be expressed at swengel-odell.com
