Eleanor McClellan

89, of Rural Neoga, Illinois passed away at 12:45 A. M., Thursday, October 20, 2011, in her residence. Eleanor was born August 1, 1922, in Cumberland County Illinois, the daughter of Charles S. and Mary Ellen ( May ) Wolke. She married Delman A. McClellan, August 15, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri, and Mr. McClellan passed away October 3, 2006. Eleanor was a member of the St. Michael, The Archangel Church of Sigel, IL and the Catholic Daughters of America. Eleanor leaves four sons, Michael McClellan of rural Neoga, IL, Thomas McClellan and wife Shirley of rural Toledo, IL, Gary McClellan and wife Maria of rural Neoga, IL and Stephen and wife Judy of rural Sigel, IL; two daughters, Patricia Kinnaman and husband Gerard of Charleston, IL and Kathleen Worman and husband Kenneth of Trowbridge, IL. Eleanor and Delman also helped raise two nieces, Beverly and Joann; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great children and three great great grandchildren. Mrs. McClellan was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Delman McClellan; four brothers, Paul, Raymond, Carl and Eugene Wolke; two sisters, Verona Konrad and Sister M. Everildis. Memorials may be made to the St. Michael School, or to the St. Michael, The Archangel Church, both of Sigel, Illinois. Mrs. McClellan will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 24, 2011, in the St. Michael, the Archangel Church of Sigel, IL, with the Rev. Fr. Robert DeGrand and Sr. Pat Theis, officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Sunday, October 23, 2011, at the Swengel - O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, IL. The Wake Service will be held 7:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the St. Michael Cemetery of Sigel, Illinois. Condolences may sent to swengel - odell. Com
