HAROLD FRANCIS " BUD " SCHULTZ

90, of Neoga, Illinois, formerly of Urbana, Illinois, passed away at 8:45 A.M., Friday, November 9, 2012, at his residence in Neoga, Illinois. Harold was born December 31, 1921, in Champaign, Illinois, the son of Harold and Elsie (Francis) Schultz. Harold proudly served in the United States Navy on a PT boat during W.W. II. He married Lois Brown and she passed away in July 2006, he later married Virginia " Ginny " McWethy and she passed away February 17, 2010. Harold was an employee of the University of Illinois, and was a Life Member of the V.F.W. Post of Mattoon, and Urbana, a Life Member of The American Legion of Mattoon, Urbana and Neoga, Illinois. Harold leaves four daughters, Nancy Detrick of Kingston Spring, TN, Sandra " Dixie " Vance and husband William of Las Cruces, NM, Debbie Steiner and husband Dave of Paxton, IL and Cari DeAtley of Sidney, IL; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Stan Richardson and Tim Bryson both of Neoga, IL. Mr. Schultz was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Lois Schultz and his second wife, Virginia " Ginny " Schultz; one brother, Bill Schultz and one sister, Maxine Thomas. Memorials may be made to the Donor's choice. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 13, 2012, in the Swengel - O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, Illinois, with the Rev. James Maroon of Neoga, officiating. Military Services will be held at the Funeral Home, with the V.F.W. Post # 4325, officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before services at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 13, 2012, in the Danville National Cemetery of Danville, Illinois.
