IRENE B. FORD

72, OF Mattoon, Illinois, formerly of Trilla, Illinois, passed away at 10:30 P.M., Saturday, October 20, 2012, in the Mattoon Health Care and Rehabilitation Center of Mattoon, Illinois. Irene was born November 11, 1939, in Atwood, Illinois, the daughter of Wayne and Ruth ( Roberts ) Appleby. She married Paul Ford Jr., August 18, 1961, in Trilla, Illinois, and Mr. Ford passed away March 20, 2008. Irene was a member of the Good Prospect Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Trilla, Illinois, she was a home maker, and she was a former employee of Brady's Store in Trilla, the I.G.A. Store in Mattoon, and she did a lot of baby sitting. Irene leaves one brother, Norman Appleby of Mattoon, Illinois; two sisters, Martha Morgan and husband John of Bloomingdale, Ind., and Linda Ellmore of Kokomo, Ind.; two nieces, Penny Davies and husband Jeff of Bloomingdale, Ind., and Pamela Unger and husband Scott of Logansport, Ind.; one nephew, Michael Morgan and wife Amy of Delaware, Ohio; One special aunt, Pat Appleby of Arthur, Illinois; Step-Mother, Thelma Appleby of Olney, Illinois; and several cousins. Memorials may be made to the Good Prospect Cumberland Presbyterian Church - 301 E. Trilla Rd., Trilla, IL 62469, or to the Alzheimer's Assoc. of Bloomington, Ill. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, October 24, 2012, in the Swengel - O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, Illinois, with Pastor Toby Davis of Trilla, and the Rev. John Morgan of Bloomingdale, Ind., officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M., to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 23, 2012, in the Funeral Home.
