JOAN M. (BEHL) HANFLAND

Joan M. Hanfland 84, of Neoga, Illinois passed away at 4:02 PM Tuesday October 8, 2024 in the Heartland Senior Living  in Neoga, Illinois.
Joan was born August 16, 1940 in Trowbridge, Illinois the daughter of  Joseph Peter and Clara Margaret (Quinn) Behl.  She married Edward Hanfland April 27, 1963 in Trowbridge, Illinois, Mr. Hanfland passed away December 19, 2016. 
  She was a member of the St. Mary Of The Assumption Church in Neoga, Illinois  
 Joan is survived by her Children Robert Hanfland (Akira) of Effingham, Illinois, Lisa (Scott) Hoedebecke of Sigel, Illinois, Missy (Jeff) Baker of Trowbridge, Illinois and Nicki (Rob) Holt of Neoga, Illinois; thirteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers, Robert Behl of Trowbridge, Illinois and John (Candy) Behl of St. Louis, Missouri;  sister, Ruth (Bill) Knierim of Lerna, Illinois; sister in law, Mary Behl of Effingham, Illinois.  
She was preceded in death by her parents;  husband, Edward Hanfland; son, Scott Hanfland; foster daughter, Sue Hall; three grandsons; one great grandson; brother, Richard "Dick" Behl.
A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM,  Friday October 11, 2024 in the St. Mary Of The Assumption Church in Neoga, Illinois.  Visitation will be Friday October 11, 2024 from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM in the Swengel - O’Dell Funeral Home in Neoga, Illinois.  Burial will be in the St. Patrick Cemetery in Trowbridge, Illinois.
