JON W. BROWN

60 of Topeka, Kansas, formerly of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Neoga, Illinois. Passed away at 4:24 P.M., Tuesday, August 14, 2012, in the Midland Hospice Care Center of Topeka, Kansas. Jon was born August 23, 1951, in Mattoon, Illinois, the son of Charles J. and Betty Louise " Lou " ( Lane ) Brown. Jon served in the United States Army for six years, working on the Pershing Missiles. He was employed as a Traffic Engineer Designer for the H. D. R. Engineering service of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He married Frances Fryberger on January 29, 2011, in Albuquerque, NM. Jon leaves his wife Frances Brown of Topeka, KS; two daughters, Jonna Macy and husband Eric of Hillsdale, MI and Heidi Sanders and husband Greg of Mattoon, IL; 0ne step-son, Bill Woodcock and wife Melissa of Baltimore, MD; one step-daughter, Frances Woodcock of Baltimore, MD; four brothers, Brian C. Brown of Colorado Springs, CO, Charles B. Brown and wife Kim of Mattoon, IL, Brad K. Brown and wife Amy of Olathe, KS and Brett A. Brown and wife Jamie of Colorado Springs, CO. three sisters, Vickie L. Green and husband Steve of Creston, IA, Kathy L. Claybaugh of Toledo, IL and Lisa L. Fearday and husband David of rural Neoga, IL; six grandchildren, Charlie and Bella Macy of Hillsdale, MI, Lindzie Douglas, Gillian Sanders, Londyn Fultz and Izzy Sanders, all of Mattoon, IL. Jon Was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lori Young; one granddaughter, Alex Macy. Graveside Services will be held as 11:00 A. M., Wednesday, August 22, 2012, in the Neoga Memorial Cemetery of Neoga, with the Rev. Brian Miller of Mattoon, IL officiating. Burial will be in the Neoga Memorial Cemetery of Neoga, Illinois.
