64, of Neoga, II, formerly of Effingham, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at 3:20 A.M., Wednesday, November 9, 2011 in her home. Joyce was born on March 21,1947. She was the daughter of the late Ray and Shirley Bierman of Altamont. She married Vernon Stiffler on May 20,1989, who survives. Joyce also leaves behind her son Paul Bierman, and wife Lorrie of Mattoon, IL Also surviving are her stepchildren Karen Meador and husband Terry of Scottsville, KY, Lisa Levingston and husband Jeff of Fernley, NV, Tammy Stiffler of Austin, TX, and Vernon Stiffler Jr., and wife Sherri of Greenwood, IN. She is also survived by her loving dachshund, Crissy. Joyce was a proud, loving and devoted grandmother to Dillon and Mercedes Bierman of Mattoon. Joyce also celebrated being a grandmother to eleven step grandchildren, and five step great grandchildren. She is survived by siblings Norma Hille of Bourbonnais, Barb Cox and husband John of Edgewood, Linda Guldenzopf and husband Mike of Dieterich, and Kenny and wife Connie Bierman of Effingham. Joyce is also survived by a nephew, Michael Cox of Edgewood, and nieces Shelly Hartke of Dieterich, and Kelsey Bierman of St. Louis, MO. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, niece Candy Guldenzopf, and nephew Steve Guldenzopf. Joyce was a 1966 graduate of Altamont High School. She worked as a CNA at St. Anthony's Hospital, followed by 32 years of employment at Fedders in Effingham until it's closing. Joyce then began employment at Walmart in Mattoon, IL. In her leisure time, Joyce enjoyed spending her summers camping, and her winters traveling to see family. She was a devoted member to the Grace United Methodist Church in Neoga, IL, where she found a very loving and supportive church family. She also enjoyed spending time with many lifelong friends. Joyce bravely and courageously battled malignant melanoma. Her courage and strength was an inspiration to many. A visitation and memorial service celebrating Joyce's life will be held from 9:00 A. M., Saturday, November 12. 2011 at the Grace United Methodist Church in Neoga, IL. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A. M., Saturday, November 12, 2011, at the Church, with Pastor Debbie Reese officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to Grace United Methodist Church, P. O.
