KEITH PAUL PETARD

Keith Paul Petard, 60, of Effingham, Illinois, formerly Neoga, Illinois passed away at 10:41 pm Tuesday May 3, 2022 in his residence.  He was born April 25, 1962 in Effingham County, Illinois  the son of Paul C. And Sue Ann (Rotramel) Petard. Mr. Petard worked and retired as a Assistant Engineer for the Shelby County Illinois Highway Department. Keith married Judy Martin in 1981 in Indiana.  He was a member of the Church Of God in Effingham and was a former Scoutmaster for the Neoga Boy Scout Troop 89 in Neoga, Illinois. He loved country music concerts and spending time with family and friends.  Keith is survived by son, Chad Petard and special friend, LaKrisha of Wheeler, Illinois;  sister, Sidney McWhorter (Rich) of Folkston, Georgia; grandchildren, Lukas Petard and Riley Bridgman both of Neoga, Illinois.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and special friend Sue Hayes.

A Celebration of Keith’s life will be held Wednesday May 11, 2022 at 10:00 am in the Swengel - O’Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, Illinois. Visitation will be held Tuesday May 10, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm also in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Trexler Cemetery in Jasper County, Illinois.
