Obituary

Leroy L. "Lee" Harsch 91, of Neoga, Illinois, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022 in his residence.  He was born August 6, 1930 In Altamont, Illinois the son of William Otto and Louise P. (Baumann) Harsch.  Mr. Harsch married Rose Koester January 2, 1981 in  Stewardson, Illinois.  Lee proudly served in the United States Army Combat Corp Of Engineers during the Korean War, and he retired from the printing company RR Donnelley & Sons, serving 42 years.  He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Strasburg, Illinois.  Lee leaves his wife, Rose Harsch of Neoga, Illinois; son, William Harsch of Sevierville, Tennessee; daughters, Elizabeth Hill of McHenry, Illinois, Mary Rosenquist (Leif) of Naperville, Illinois, Tammy Sparrow (Todd) of Neoga, Illinois, and Tabatha Baker (Dennis) of Carlsbad, California; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; brother, James Harsch of Phoenix, Arizona.  Mr. Harsch was preceded in death by his parents; son, Richard Harsch; grandson, Zachery Harsch; brothers, Glen Harsch, Gary Harsch and William Harsch; sister, Elnora Harvey; son in law, Dennis Hill; daughter in law, Kelly Harsch. 
Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Grace Lutheran Church in Strasburg, Illinois, Wounded Warrior Project or Donor’s Choice.  
Funeral services will be held Monday June 6, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Grace Lutheran Church in Strasburg, Illinois.  Visitation will be Monday June 6, 2022 from 9:00 am until service time also in the church.  Burial and Military Services will be in the Neoga Memorial Cemetery in Neoga, Illinois.
