LOIS A (JOHNSON) MCKENNA

93, of Neoga, Illinois, passed away at 3:37 PM Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in the Heartland Senior Living Center of Neoga.  She was born March 28, 1927 in Pittsfield, Illinois the daughter of Rufus and Vernice (Atwood) Johnson.  She married John Robert "Bob" McKenna April 9, 1948 in Clarksdale, Kansas and Mr. McKenna passed away July 23, 1983.  Mrs. McKenna owned and operated the Uncle Jack’s Marina on Lake Mattoon in Neoga, Illinois for many years. She was a Member of the First Christian Church of Neoga, The American Legion Auxiliary and former member of the Neoga Business and Professional Women all of Neoga, Illinois. Lois leaves her children, Sherry Keil (Conrad) of Stockbridge, Georgia, Robin McKenna (Cathie) of Lakeland, Florida, Michael McKenna (Dawn) of Mattoon, Illinois, Sandy Strohl (Steve) of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Jill Huffman (Allen) of Neoga, Illinois; Eighteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.  Mrs. McKenna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Robert McKenna; son, Dennis McKenna; daughters, Linda Oakley and Terry Feltman; sister, Phyllis Rose and brother, Vernon "Bud" Johnson.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimers Association.
As per Lois’ wishes Cremation Rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life will be at a later date.  Burial will be in the Pittsfield South Cemetery in Pittsfield, Illinois.
