Lawrence Robert Myers

Lawrence Robert "Bob" Myers, 92, of Neoga, Illinois passed away at 7:46 AM, Friday March 13, 2026 at Heartland Senior Living in Neoga, Illinois. Bob was born October 15, 1933 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Lawrence and Constance (Biggs) Myers. He married Velma June Orr on August 10, 1952 in Lerna, Illinois. Bob worked as a truck driver and retired from JM Jones Trucking in Urbana, Illinois. He enjoyed his family, fishing, camping, and church. Bob had a green thumb, he inherited from his father, he was known for his beautiful flowers, yard, and vegetables. He was a lifetime member of the Masons. Bob served as a deacon in his church for many years. Bob was a great role model to all that knew him. Bob had the heart of a servant helping anyone that he met in need. 

He is survived by his son, Steven (Debbie) Myers of Neoga, Illinois, daughter, Barbara G. Myers of Tilton, Illinois, 8 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, sister, Melissa (Lance) Behymer, brothers, William (Cynthia) Myers, Britt (Ernestine) Myers, Fred (Linda) Myers, Duane (Patti) Myers, and Mike (Debbie) Myers. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Brenda J. Myers, sister, Constance Myers, brother, Keith Myers. 

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday March 23, 2026 at First Christian Church of Neoga, 190 E 6th Street, Neoga, Illinois. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM service at the church. Burial will follow in Zion Hill Cemetery, Paradise Township.
