MARCELLA CARDINAL Obituary

Marcella  Ann  (Boyer) Cardinal  77, of Mattoon, Illinois, passed away at 2:30 PM, Sunday July 21, 2024 in her residence surrounded by her family.  She was born August 25, 1946 in Effingham, Illinois the daughter of Silas M. and Maxine (Price) Boyer.   Marcella married Gary Cardinal August 8, 1966 in Olney, Illinois.  Mrs. Cardinal was a Housewife, mother and a Book Keeper for Aramark Uniform Services.  She loved her faith and was a member of the United Christian Church in Mattoon, Illinois.  She also loved being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother, baking and exercising.  Marcella is survived by her husband, Gary Cardinal of Mattoon, Illinois; her children,  Chad Cardinal (Mary Sue) of Neoga, Illinois, Amy Cardinal of Charleston, Illinois and Tim Cardinal (Ginger) of Herrick, Illinois currently serving in the United States Army; Sister, Kathy Manhart of Strasburg, Illinois; grandchildren, Brandt, Ryan, Claire, Brock and Asher; great grandchildren, Haden, Summer and Riley.  She was preceded in death by her parents.
As per Marcella’s wishes Cremation Rites will be accorded and there will be a family graveside service is in the Richland Cemetery near Strasburg, Illinois.  And a Celebration Of Life will be held at a later date. 
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggest to CCAR Industries in Charleston, Illinois.
