MARLESE  C.  HARTMAN COOK

 

59, of Mattoon, Illinois passed away at  5:13 PM Sunday, April 5, 2020 in the Mason Point Home of Sullivan, Illinois.  She was born January 6, 1961 in Aurora, Illinois the daughter of Berle and Helen (Bauer) Hartman.  She was a Payer Enrollment Specialist for Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center of Mattoon, Illinois, where she was employed for 40 years.  Marlese was a avid animal lover,  She cared deeply about her dogs and loved bargain shopping, she was a very independent person.  Marlese leaves her father, Berle Hartman of Newton, Illinois; brother, Marlon Hartman of Salem, Missouri; sisters, Barbara Tilford (Gary)  and Melanie Thornton both of Neoga, Illinois; several nieces and nephews; special great nieces, Haley, Lexi and Maddy Brewster; special great nephew, Cody Fetters. Marlese will be sorely missed by her family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Hartman.

Memorials are suggested to the Cumberland County Animal Shelter at P.O. Box 70 Toledo, IL  62468

Due to the Covid 19 mandates there will be no funeral services or visitation. 

A Private Family Graveside Service will be at Long Point Cemetery of  Neoga, Illinois.
