67, of Neoga, IL, formerly of Champaign, IL passed away at 11:05 P.M., Friday, September 7, 2012 at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital of Effingham, IL. Marvin was born August 3, 1945 in Urbana, IL, the son of Donald and Ruby ( Montgomery ) Roderick. He married Maritta " Ann " Hill, January 31, 1967, in Champaign, IL. She passed away September 17, 1996. He was the retired Owner/Operator of Roderick''s Lawn Care of Champaign, IL. Marvin was a former volunteer fireman with Eastern Prairie Fire District of Champaign, IL. He is survived by his two sons, William " Bill " Roderick and wife Bridgette of Neoga, IL, Marvin Roderick Jr. and his wife Heidi of Dunlap, IL; one daughter, Doris Courtney and husband Russell of Covington, IN; three brothers, Virgil Roderick and wife Susie of Champaign, Il, Kenneth Roderick and wife Jan of Urbana, IL and Donald Roderick and companion Peggy of Champaign, IL; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Roderick was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two sisters Lerna Hyatt and Judy Schumard. Memorials may be made the family, in care of William " Bill " Roderick - P. O. Box 704 - Neoga, IL 62447. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 11, 2012, in the Woodlawn Cemetery of Urbana, Illinois, with the Rev. Richard Coen officiating.
