MARY LAVONE KIMERY

86, of Mattoon, Illinois, passed away at 3:50 PM Tuesday, September 7, 2021 in the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center of Mattoon, Illinois.  She was born May 2, 1935 in Shelby County, Illinois the daughter of Oris and Hazel (Winnings) DeLong. Mary married James Kimery in 1951 and later married James Foltz in 1988. She was a retired Operator at American Pad and Paper in Mattoon, Illinois and a former Nurse's Aide in Mattoon Memorial Hospital.  She was a member of the Mattoon Christian Church of Mattoon, Illinois and attended The Family Worship Center in Mattoon, Illinois.  Mary  loved eating out , shopping, watching wheel of fortune and spending time with family and friends.  Mrs. Kimery leaves behind her sons, James Kimery (Marilyn) of Mattoon, Illinois and Larry Kimery (Debra) of Mattoon, Illinois; sister, Janet Trier (Phil) of Redondo Beach, California; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Stella Delong; parents; son, Gary Kimery; brothers, Willard, Larry and Charles Delong; sisters, Deloris Means and Diane Kelly; and special friend, Harry Popendieker.

A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday September 10, 2021 in the Branchside Cemetery in Gays, Illinois.
