MARY E. (TEETS) WILLENBORG

77, of Neoga, Illinois, passed away at 8:11 PM Sunday, May 30, 2021 in the Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.  She was born January 26, 1944 in Effingham, Illinois the daughter of Noble E. and Eleanore (Hutmacher) Teets.  Mary was a retired seamstress at the Kern Manufacturing in Neoga, Illinois.  She married Donald Willenborg June 5, 1965 in Effingham, Illinois and was a Member of the St. Mary Of The Assumption Church and the St. Mary’s Women’s Council both of Neoga, Illinois. Mary was the most genuine wife, mother, and grandmother any person could have ever been blessed with. Mary always made sure she was at every family and school function of her children and grandchildren that she possibly could attend. Her Christmas candies and cheeseball will be greatly missed. During her many years of deteriorating health she enjoyed sitting in her recliner watching Illini basketball and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Mary will be remembered for her determination to overcome any obstacle that she came across.  Mrs. Willenborg is survived by her husband, Donald Willenborg of Neoga, Illinois; daughter, Donna (Kem) Guyer of Neoga, Illinois; son, Greg Willenborg of Neoga; grandchildren, Michael Guyer and fiancé Davina Schisler of Neoga, Illinois  and Kelsey Guyer and fiancé Brock Workman of Neoga, Illinois; sisters, Marsha Teets of Effingham, Illinois and Judy (Walter) Bartels of Mason, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Karen Teets and Barbara Teets; brother, David Teets.

A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, June 4, 2021 in the St. Mary Of The Assumption Church in Neoga, Illinois with Fr Sunder Ery officiating.  Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Thursday June 3, 2021 at the Swengel - O’Dell Funeral Home in Neoga, Illinois.
