MELINDA J. (VANSCYOC) ADAMS

64, of Neoga, Illinois, passed away at 6:15 AM Sunday, Aprill 18, 2021 in rural Neoga, Illinois.  She was born March 3, 1957 in Mattoon, Illinois the daughter of Richard and Joyce (Hite) VanScyoc.  Melinda graduated from Neoga High School with the Class of 1975 and was employed at Shimerz Glass & Bath Design in Mattoon, Illinois.  Melinda  was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Neoga, Illinois.  She is survived by her son, Ryan Pickering (Michelle) of Mattoon, Illinois; daughter, Maya Stuckey of Mattoon, Illinois; siblings, Vicki Hock (Doug) of Arcola, Illinois, Kathy Himes (Gary) of Lerna, Illinois, Anita VanScyoc of Neoga, Illinois, Carlos VanScyoc (Leann) of Vandalia, Illinois, Brad VanScyoc (Lori) of Tucson, Arizona,  Mark Cleeton (Jan) of Rhome, Texas, David Cleeton (Amy) of Neoga, Illinois and Dale VanScyoc (Marla) of Neoga, Illinois; Three grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenneth VanScyoc; grandson, Landon Stuckey.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 1, 2021 in the Drummond Cemetery east of Neoga, Illinois.
