NANCY JUNE (CURTNER) DOW

Nancy June Dow, 72 of Neoga, Illinois, passed away at 2:13 PM Thursday, October 6, 2022 in her residence surrounded by family.  She was born November 7, 1949 in Mattoon, Illinois the daughter of Earnest "Pat" and Phyllis (Lewis) Curtner.  She married Jim W. Dow May 24, 1969 in Neoga, Illinois.  Nancy retired from the Fedders Corporation in Effingham, Illinois.  She was a member of the First Christian Church in Neoga and Neoga American Legion Auxiliary for 63 years.  Mrs. Dow is survived by her husband, Jim Dow of Neoga, Illinois; son, Tim Dow (Michelle) of Neoga, Illinois; daughter, Kena Hahn (Ryan) of Rockford, Tennessee; grandchildren, Alek Dow, Abbi Dow, Toriana Hahn, Augustus Hahn and Drake Hahn; brothers, John Curtner (Linda of Jacksonville, Florida and Robin Curtner (Lisa) of Dutton, Alabama; sister Tina Crisman (Kevin) of Oakdale, Connecticut.  Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Kenny Curtner and Mike Curtner.
She loved spending time with her family,  working in the garden, growing flowers, and watching her many hummingbirds in her yard. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, Mimi, Aunt Nana, and friend to many.

As per Nancy’s wishes Cremation Rites will be accorded and services will be held at a later date.
