PAUL RENNELS Obituary

84, of rural Sigel, Illinois formerly of rural Neoga, Illinois and Brownsville, Texas, Went to be with the Lord at 6:15 P.M., Sunday, February 24, 2013, at his son's residence, rural Sigel, Illinois. Paul was born November 5, 1928, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Raymond S. and Naida M. ( Blue ) Rennels. He married Marilyn J. Gilmer, December 23, 1949, in Moultrie County, Illinois. Paul was a retired farmer and while he was in Texas, Paul was partner and operator of Victory Golf Carts. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Neoga, IL, a member of the First Church Of The Valley in Brownsville, TX and a member of Gideon's International. Paul leaves his wife of sixty-three years, Marilyn J. Rennels of rural Sigel, IL; three sons, Randy Rennels of rural Sigel, IL, Reggie Rennels and wife Cathy of rural Neoga, IL and Russ Rennels and wife Sherrie of Effingham, IL; one daughter, Renita Calufetti and husband Tony of Bella Vista, AR; four brothers, Max Rennels and wife Kesorn of Bangkok,Thailand , Dale Rennels and wife Valentina of Grand Junction, CO, Scott Rennels and wife Helen of Roswell, NM and Cyril " Sig" Rennels and wife Lenore of Teleford, PA; three sisters, Barbara Roberts of Lake Wood, CA, Sue Ballinger and husband Jack of Edwardsville, IL and Gail Baumgartner and husband Rick of Chantilly, VA; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mr. Rennels was preceded in death his parents; one infant son, one son, Rick Rennels and one sister, Winnie Whitley. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Neoga, or to the American Cancer Association or Gideon's International. As per Mr. Rennels request the body will be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, March 9th at First Christian Church, Neoga .
