REBECCA ANN (HEATH) DOSS

Rebecca  Ann  Doss, 78, of Mattoon, Illinois passed away Monday, May 16, 2022, in the Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.  She was born February 17, 1944 in Mattoon, Illinois, daughter of Loyal C. and Violet Louise (Elliott) Heath.  Rebecca married Wallace Doss December 31, 1994 in Trilla,  Illinois. Mrs. Doss worked as a L.P.N. in various doctor’s offices and as a plant nurse for Trailmobile and Blaw Knox.  She was also a long-term private home health caregiver. Rebecca was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mattoon, Illinois and the 1962 Mattoon High School graduate luncheon group.  She is survived by her husband, Wallace Doss of Mattoon, Illinois; children, Joseph Hall-Ingram (Tracy) of Charleston, Illinois and Lisa Bridges (Mike) of Marshall, Illinois; step-daughter, Julie Doss of Atlanta, Georgia; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; siblings, Michael Heath (Kathy) of Windsor, Illinois, Miriam St John (Larry) of Paris, Illinois and Martha Rittmiller (Bruce) of Wichita, Kansas; sister-in-law, Nancy Heath of Edgewood, Illinois.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mark Heath. She was also loved by many nieces and nephews. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. 
In Lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.

Funeral Services will be held at 7:30 p.m., Monday, May 23, 2022 in the First Baptist Church in Mattoon, Illinois. Visitation will be held Monday May 23, 2022 from 4:00 until 7:30 p.m., also in the church.  Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Janesville Cemetery in Janesville, Illinois.
