RITA ANN WOLKE

72, of Sigel, Illinois, passed away at 8:40 AM, Thursday September 19, 2019, in HSHS St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois. She was born November 9, 1946, in Mattoon, Illinois, the daughter of Raymond J. and Thelma (McClellan) Wolke. Rita was a retired Bookkeeper after many years in St. Louis, Missouri and a member of the St. Michael, The Archangel Church of Sigel, Illinois. Ms. Wolke leaves her brothers, Richard Wolke (Sharen) of Effingham, Illinois, James Wolke (Donna) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, John Wolke (Nancy) of rural Mattoon, Illinois and Anthony Wolke of Sigel, Illinois; sisters, Betty Wernsing (Adrian) of Chrisman, Illinois and Alice Wolke of St. Louis, Missouri;  several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by, her parents; sister, Mary Otto; brother in law, Albert Henderson; and sister in law Sue Wolke.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. 
A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, 7:00 PM, September 24, 2019  in the Swengel - O’Dell Funeral Home  of Neoga, Illinois with Fr. Sunder Ery officiating.  Visitation will be from 5:30 PM until Service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in the St. Michael Cemetery of Sigel, Illinois.
