77, of Neoga, Illinois, passed away at 3:42 P.M., Sunday, February 17, 2013, in the Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois. He was born August 24, 1935, in Deland, Illinois the son of Hugh D. and Murna T. ( Oakley ) Starwalt. Bob served in the United States Army for three years. Bob was a member and Elder of the First Christian Church of Neoga for many years, and he also drove the Church Bus for several years. He enjoyed his family, friends, he enjoyed traveling and also working on his " 51 " Pontiac. Bob married Shirley Price, January 13, 1956, in Neoga, IL. He was a carpenter and owned and operated the Starwalt Construction Company in Neoga for several years. After his retirement he donated his work to the Neoga Youth Center at the old park. Bob leaves his wife of fifty-seven years, Shirley Starwalt of Neoga, IL; two sons, Mike Starwalt and wife Kay of Dacono, CO and Rick Starwalt of Neoga, IL; one daughter, Vicki Brady of Neoga, IL; three brothers, Glenn Starwalt and wife Marguerite of Westville, IL, Carl Starwalt and wife Evelyn of Toledo, IL, Harry Starwalt and wife Judy of Toledo, IL; one brother-in-law, Walter Thomas of Toledo, IL; four sisters, Maudie Younger of Mattoon, IL, Gladys Burley and Roberta Conrad both of Toledo, IL and Katie Michlig and husband Lee of Zepher Hills, FL; six grandchildren, Seth White and fiancee Cassie Huff of Neoga, IL, Trevor White of Neoga, IL, Chelsi Blazich and husband Mike of Neoga, IL, Tanner Starwalt of Effingham, IL, Shane Starwalt of Dacono, CO and Dirk Bartges and wife Kelly of Trilla, IL; eight great grandchildren. Mr. Starwalt was preceded in death by his parents; two infant sons; one sister, Martha Thomas; five brothers, Paul, Ross, Clemma, Leland and Ralph Starwalt; one son-in-law, Steve Brady. Memorials may be made to the Coles County Animal Shelter, 6818 N. County Rd., 1120 E., Charleston, IL 61920. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, February, 22, 2013, in the First Christian Church of Neoga, with the Rev. Richard Coen of Neoga. officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M., to 8:00 P. M., Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the First Christian Church of Neoga. Burial will be in the Neoga Memorial Cemetery in Neoga, IL, with the Military services conducted by the V.F.W. Post 4325 of Mattoon, IL.
