ROBERTA S. WHITE

73 of Neoga, Illinois, passed away at 10:57 A.M., Wednesday, May 23, 2012, in St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. Roberta was born September 27, 1938, in Mattoon, Illinois, the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Price) Woolery. She married George White December 17, 1961 in Neoga, Illinois. She was retired from General Electric Lamp Plant in Mattoon, Illinois. Roberta was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Neoga, Illinois. She always looked forward to the luncheons with the G.E. girls and the "56" girls. Roberta leaves two sons, Mitch White and wife Becky of Jacksonville, Illinois and Andy White and wife Lis of Sullivan, Illinois; one daughter, Gretchen Vaughn and husband Troy of Mattoon, Illinois; two sisters, Dona Greeson and husband David and Cynthia Baker and husband Ron both of Neoga, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Austin, Nichele, Nick, Adam, Kolby, Treyton and Emily; and one good cat, Maggie. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband George White. Memorials may be made to Heartland Christian Village Auxiliary of Neoga, Illinois or to the Cumberland County Animal Shelter. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, May 26, 2012, at the Swengel - O'Dell Funeral Home in Neoga, Illinois, with the Rev. Richard Coen of Neoga, Illinois officiating.
