ROSEMARY OSBORN Obituary

Rosemary Osborn, 86, of Neoga, Illinois formerly of Mattoon, Illinois and Yuma, Arizona, passed away at   11:30 AM, Tuesday October 12, 2021, in her residence.  Rosemary was born May 7, 1935 in Mattoon, Illinois the daughter of Clyde and Helen (Riley) Cole.  She married Cecil "Bud" Osborn March 19, 1954 in Mattoon, Illinois.  Mrs. Osborn was a Cafeteria Manager for Hawthorne School in the Mattoon School District #2 for twelve years, until retiring in May of 1990.  Rosemary enjoyed roaming in the desert areas in search of rocks and minerals, traveling and enjoying the country.  She also liked to work crossword puzzles, reading suspense and mystery books, watching game shows on TV and the birds at the backyard feeder.  She was a member of The Grace United Methodist Church in Neoga, Illinois and the Yuma Arizona Gem And Mineral Society.  Rosemary is survived by her husband, Cecil F. "Bud" Osborn of Neoga, Illinois; sons, James L "Oz" Osborn (Jan) of Mattoon, Illinois and Tony Scott Osborn of Mattoon, Illinois; daughters, Carren M. Smiley (Greg) of Mattoon, Illinois and Connie D. Easter (Cole) of Greenup, Illinois; daughter in law, Nancy Osborn of Sullivan, Illinois; sixteen grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by, her parents; son, Timothy W. "Lockjaw" Osborn; half brothers, Don Cole, Olaf Cole and Ivan Cole; half sisters, Madge Thompson and Margaret Henderson. 
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to HSHS Hospice of Illinois, 503 N Maple, Effingham, IL 62401.
As per Rosemary's wishes Cremation rites will be accorded and family services will be held at a later date.
