RUTH MAY (KIRK) COEN

97, Neoga, Illinois, passed away at 12:58 AM Saturday, January 2, 2021 in the Heartland Senior Living Center of Neoga.  She was born May 29, 1923 in Moweaqua, Illinois the daughter of Jacob Ray and Odessa Amanda (Poole) Kirk.  She married Richard R. Coen January 31, 1943 in Neoga and Mr Coen passed away April 21, 1990.  Ruth was a Farm Wife and also worked at Crawford Manufacturing in Mattoon and Kerns Manufacturing in Neoga.  Mrs. Coen enjoyed reading, gardening , crocheting and especially being with family and friends.  She was a member and Sunday School Teacher of the First Christian Church of Neoga and the Ladies Aid.  Mrs Coen leaves her sons, Richard Coen (Sherrie), David Coen (Sheri) and Donald Coen (Denise) all of Neoga; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sister, Yvonne Shelton of Bend, Oregon.  Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Richard Coen; brother, Glenn David Kirk; grandson Kyle Coen; great great granddaughter, Payton Elizabeth Dunn.  
Memorials are suggested to the Neoga First Christian Church of Neoga.
Due to the Covid Pandemic, There will be no public services. Burial will be in the Neoga Memorial Cemetery in Neoga.
