RUTH MARVELLA (KOESTER) DEADMOND

Ruth Marvella Deadmond 84, Neoga, Illinois, passed away at 7:50 PM Thursday June 23, 2022 in her residence.  She was born August 10, 1937 in Cumberland County, Illinois the daughter of Albert Adolph and Rufina Ida (Durdel) Koester.  She married Raymond F. Deadmond August 25, 1956 in Sigel, Illinois.  Ruth worked as a Cook for the Neoga Unit District  #3 in Neoga, Illinois.  She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid in Sigel, Illinois and the Neoga American Legion Auxiliary.   Mrs. Deadmond is survived by her children, Sandra Miller (Gus) of Shelbyville, Illinois, Michael Deadmond of Neoga, Illinois, Mark Deadmond (Linda) of Greenup, Illinois, Sharon Grant (Gary) of Shumway, Illinois and Karen Deadmond of Neoga, Illinois; fifteen grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; brother, Dwight Koester (Brenda) of Bloomington, Illinois; sisters, Rose Harsch of Neoga, Illinois, Bonnie Lawrence of Neoga, Illinois and Connie Evans (Bill) of Bloomington, Illinois; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Deadmond; five brothers, Wayne Koester, Paul Koester, Richard Koester Otha Koester and Robert Koester; grandson, Brandon Deadmond; great granddaughter, Aerith Deadmond; brother in laws, Jack Lawrence and Leroy Harsch.
Memorials are suggested to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sigel, Illinois
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday June 28, 2022 in the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sigel, Illinois.  Visitation will be 1 hour before the service also in the church.  Burial will be in the Neoga Memorial Cemetery in Neoga, Illinois.
