RUTH E. (FIGGINS) THOMAS

86, Neoga, Illinois, passed away at 9:16 AM, Tuesday, May 25, 2021 in the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, Illinois.  She was born November 13, 1934 in Coles County, Illinois the daughter of Clayton and Josephine (Prichard) Figgins.  She married James R. Thomas, April 4, 1959 in Mattoon, Illinois.  Mr Thomas passed away March 11, 1992.  Ruth was a retired Hostess and Waitress for the D & W Restaurant in Mattoon, Illinois.  She was a member of the Eagles Club and The Order Of Eastern Star both in Mattoon, Illinois.  Mrs.  Thomas leaves her Children, Curtis Thomas (Sherri Dixon) of Etna, Illinois and Patricia Beals of Plano, Texas; step children, James J. Thomas and Marie Olmstead (Tom) both of Mattoon, Illinois; seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.  Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James R. Thomas; two sisters and four brothers. 
As per Ruth’s wishes Cremation Rites will be accorded and no services are scheduled at this time.
