Randy G Godden

Randy G. Godden of Trilla, Illinois passed away Thursday May 7, 2026, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center of Mattoon, Illinois. He was born October 29, 1955 the son of Nelson and Blanche (Short) Godden. Randy married Deb Fear on March 5, 1994 in Neoga, Illinois. Randy retired from R.R. Donnelly. He was a proud Mason. He served as a Past Master of the Mattoon Lodge, he was a 32nd Degree in the Scottish Rite, he was also a Shriner. Randy loved fishing, camping, 4x4 trucks, side-by-side driving, and being outdoors. His greatest love was his family, he remained close with his siblings throughout life.  He went to every sporting event for his children and grandchildren. He was affectionately know as uncle and grandpa to many. 

Randy is survived by his wife of 32 years Deb; sons, Chris (Megan) Stroup and Tyler (Gabby) Godden; grandchildren, Jacob, Emma, Carter, Lily and Beck; brother, David Godden; sister, Frieda Cisna; many nieces and nephews. 
Randy was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Norman Godden, Jerry Godden, Ray Godden and Larry Dean Godden. 

Memorial visitation will be held Tuesday May 12, 2026 from 5-7:30 pm with a Life Celebration at 7:30pm at the Swengel-O’Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, Illinois. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Godden Family.
