Robert E. May

Robert E. May of Neoga, Illinois passed away Saturday April 18, 2026 at Heartland Senior Living in Neoga, Illinois. He was born May 28, 1936 in Shelby County the son of Walter and Florence (Ballinger) May. He married Grace (Mueller) on November 3, 1956 on Toledo, Illinois. 
Robert worked for Fedders USA for 29 years. He loved farming and driving his tractor. Robert spent many hours working on small equipment and sharpening blades in his shop. He could often be seen enjoying the view from his front porch swing. 

Robert is survived by his wife of 69 ½ years Grace May of Neoga, Illinois; son, Rick (Elvina) May of Neoga, Illinois; granddaughter, Heather (Robert) Lidster; grand dog, Rufus; several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Willis (Clara) May and Virgil (Charlotte) May;  

Per Robert's wishes cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no public service.
