Ruby Lee Ryans

89 of Neoga, passed away at 8:05 P. M., Monday, November 14, 2011, in the St. Anthony Memorial Hospital of Effingham, Illinois. Ruby was born June 16, 1922, in Dalala Kentucky, the daughter of Homer T. and Bertha ( Centers ) Taulbee. She served in the Unites States Army WAC as a Tec 5, in the 120 WAC Hospital Company. Ruby married Homer T. Ryans February 8, 1956, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. She was a member of the Estero Baptist Church of Estero, Florida, where she and her husband Homer spent most of the winter months. Ruby enjoyed being with her family and friends. She leaves her husband, Homer Thomas Ryans of Neoga, IL; one daughter, Mary Jane " Jannie" Kenworthy and her husband Bill of Neoga, IL; three brothers, Kelly Gayhart and wife Patricia of St. Angelo, TX, Romie Gayhart and wife Betty of Winchester, KY and Garner Gayhart and wife Linda of Flatwood, KY; three sisters, Georgia Allen and husband Kirt of Flatwood, KY, Watheta King of Lexington, KY and Debra Durham and husband Ron of Lexington, KY; two Grandchildren, Tommy Kenworthy and wife Celina of Dalian, China, Amy Kenworthy of Neoga, IL; one great Granddaughter, Gracie Kenworthy of Neoga, IL. Mrs. Ryans was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Danny Ward and Wilke Gayhart; one step-son, Charlie Ryans. Memorials may be made to Donor's Choice. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 P.M., Friday, November 18, 2011, in the Swengel - O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, with the Rev. Steve Massengill officiating.
