Sara J. Chisler, age 57, of Watson, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Per Sara’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Sara was born on August 18, 1968 in Effingham, Illinois, the daughter of John and Kathleen (Brewer) Chisler. Sara worked at Dairy Queen for many years. She loved shopping and keeping up with the latest trends in style and always prided herself on looking her best whenever she went out. She enjoyed spending time watching reruns of classic television shows, particularly Gunsmoke. Sara was a longtime member of Salt Creek Church.
Sara is survived by her sister, Michele Bannick of Sigel, Illinois, as well as several nephews, one niece, and several great-nephews and great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John A. and Kathleen Chisler; brother, John A. Chisler, Jr.; and sister, Lisa A. Robbins.
