SHIRLEY J. (PEDIGO) CAMPBELL

Shirley J. Campbell 69, of Mattoon, Illinois, passed away Friday morning, February 4, 2022 in her residence.  She was born May 7, 1952 in Decatur, Illinois the daughter of Louie and Wilma (Shadow) Pedigo.  She married Leonard Wright September 19, 1981 in Mattoon, Illinois, Leonard passed away March 16, 2005.  She later married James Campbell March 22, 2008 James passed November 24, 2019.  Shirley retired as a Bus Driver for Mattoon School District #2. She also was a co-Owner/Operator of the Charleston Speedway and Campbell Trucking.  Shirley was attended the Neoga Free Methodist Church in Neoga, Illinois.  Mrs. Campbell leaves her sons, Richie Smyser (Lori) of Mattoon, Illinois and Allen Campbell (Terrie) of Milton, Florida; daughters, Debbie Williams (Ben) of Mattoon, Illinois and Sherlyn Hall (Randall) of Gays, Illinois; forty five grandchildren, great grandchildren and thir spouses; siblings, Amos, Mark, Luke, Mary, Brenda, Edith, Irene and Betty.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Louie and Wilma Pedigo; husbands, Leonard Wright and James Campbell; sons, Steve Campbell and Brent Edward Guyette; great granddaughter, Adelynn Claire Anderson; siblings, Gene, Frankie, Patty, Harold, Harry and Linda.
Memorials are suggested to the Coles County Animal Shelter.
 A Celebration of Shirley’s life will be at 11:00 AM , Wednesday, February 9, 2022 in the Swengel - O’Dell Funeral Home in Neoga, Illinois.  Visitation will be one hour before the service also at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Neoga Memorial Cemetery of Neoga, Illinois.
