WILLIE CRANE

76 of rural Mattoon, Illinois, formerly of Camden, Arkansas, passed away at 1:02 P.M., Thursday, April 4, 2013, in the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center of Coles County, Illinois. Willie was born November 3, 1936, in Lester, Arkansas, the son of Homer and Carrie (Ponder) Crane. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Torrence, Ca and he married Sandra S. Garber, November 1, 1958, in Mexico. Willie served in the United States Air Force, retiring after twenty years. He was also employed as an Office Manager of the Verizon Computer Corporation. Willie leaves his wife Sandra S. Crane of rural Mattoon, IL; one daughter, Sherry Latch and husband Charles, Jr of Mattoon, IL; three brothers, Harold Crane and wife Lavina of Cameron Park, CA, Bobby Crane of Camden AR and Roy Crane and wife Susan of Laytonville, CA; five grandchildren, Brandy Sharr and husband Jory, Chablis Latch, Chardonnay Latch, Charles Willie Latch III and Chela Latch all of Mattoon, IL; two great grandchildren, Aidan and Aurora Sharr of Mattoon, IL. Mr. Crane was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters. As per the wishes of Mr. Crane his body will be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
